openSUSE Howto: Change your Dolphin Supper User Icons to Custom.

sudo or su

Open this file:
/etc/sysconfig/displaymanager

Edit for root as autologin:
DISPLAYMANAGER_AUTOLOGIN="root"

Save & Reboot, this will now auto-log you in as "root".

Now you can go to "system setting" and change the "Appearance" of your "Icons". This will change the icons in Dolphin as supper user and give you a custom look and feel. Your regular auto login Dolphin setting will remain the same as they were. This only changes for su "root".

Once done, repeat steps above, changing auto-login "root" back to your user auto-login "name". Save, Reboot, and your done.

From Yast, choose Sysconfig Editor:

Next, choose Desktop
                Display manager
                             DISPLAYMANAGER_AUTOLOGIN


Then change Setting of: DISPLAYMANAGER_AUTOLOGIN drop down from your auto login "name" to "root", you can just type "root" in.

Save & Reboot, this will now auto-log you in as "root".
